Population Health Team Members Published in Journal

Congratulations to four Population Health team members who have been published in NEJM Catalyst Innovations in Care Delivery! The study authors are:

  • Helena Moon, MD, System Director, Clinical Programs
  • Julian A.Mitton, MD, MPH, System Director, Population Health Policy
  • Amanda Redmond, MBA, System Director, Value-Driven Strategy
  • Nicholas Stine, MD, System Senior Vice President, Population Health

Their article, “Targeted Management of Excess Specialty Spending: The Case of Biologics for Retinal Disease,” is in the May 2022 edition. In it, the team argues that injectable biologics used for the treatment of retinal disease can help reduce costly practice variation and avoidable Medicare Part B drug spending.

In addition to its inclusion in the journal, the article also will be featured in the publication’s weekly newsletter (NEJM Catalyst Connect) and on social media. View the article online or download a PDF. Then, be sure to congratulate your colleagues and share this article with others via the Resource Library, email and social media.
